changes

"Everything changes, nothing remains without change." -Buddha

Life changes quickly. Sometimes for the better, and sometimes for the worse. All you can do is take a deep breath and keep on going as best you can. That's what I've learned.

his red glasses

We hang out two days a week, doing phonics and playing games. He started wearing these lens-less red glasses this week. It is so adorable I can hardly stand it.

He speaks little English. Since we mostly play games, he has picked up the following phrases-

"Your turn!"
"One, two, three!"
"Good job teacher."
"4 stickers?"
"Candy?"

Yeah. He's rad.

Gothic revival and butterflies

Korea offers endless opportunity for a person who loves to take pictures. I have found things to photograph that I never imagined would be an interesting subject. While many of the photos don't turn out like I plan, the process is one of my greatest pleasures. Having spent the last 6 months getting in tons of practice, I am excited for a beautiful spring and summer to put my camera to work.

blossoms

Korea is famous for it's cherry blossoms. They are something to behold. The dark trees suddenly exploded with the palest pink flowers. When the wind blows, the petals fall like snow. A warm, pink snow that smells amazing. It is all over pretty quick, many of the trees have already lost their blooms. It was sweet while it lasted.
